Richard
I have a REL B1 and tried a Synergetics Research Neutrik cable but did not hear a noticeable improvement over the standard 10m cable provided by REL

Just ordered 2 Valhalla 2 power cords for the 2301’s along with the Nordost Qb8 power strip and the Nordost Qkore ground unit. This should finish up the power to the amps. Next up the removal (hiding of the window and adding some diffusers to the back wall

Nice additions Richard -- congrats sir. Attended a Nordost demo on the Qkore & Qb8 power strip. Simply amazing stuff.

Best Sir,

Bob

The 2 that are finished are now being used as follows. the 2301's are now connected to 1 and the 2 REL g-2's are connected to the other.

I did not complete the third for two reasons. first I will have to remove everything from the SRA rack and move rack, this was more work than I planned for.

Second the 15 amp circuit that is in the room only services that room, only three things are attached. The P10 which then all front end electronics are attached to , Klaudio's KD-CLN-LP200, which I only use when audio gear is off. and the light which I usually have off when listening. The blue light from the meters light the room enough for me.

So far with only about 20 minuets of listening I can notice a improvement in a blacker background.

Now I'm considering looking at the Nordost power cords and power products for the 2301's. and some upgraded Neutrik Speakon cables for the REL G-2's

Does it make sense to upgrade the power cords on the G-2s ?

Thanks in advance

R

When I installed my G1’s I was fortunate enough to have the manufacture’s rep do the job. He recommended 2 Shunyata Anaconda power cords, which cost the same or more then the subs. He did not suggest changing the speaker cord due the incredibly high input impedance of the subs. I ended up with Shunyata Venom HC on the subs. I never tried the big snakes.

BTW I had 6 dedicated lines installed in my listening room. One for low level equipment through a Shunyata AV, 2 for each amp, 2 for each sub and one “just in case”.

All day long, along with Valhalla 2 P/C!

Do a before and after to reconfirm your decision - mind blowing!

Note: power distribution has it’s own labeled grounding input

Happy listening
