Good to hear, my place is fine as are all my friends. The increase of earthquakes is frightening.

Unlike the west coast, the earthquakes in OK are man-made.

Fracking is no doubt EVIL and does nothing but harm....the answer though is more complicated of which fracking and drilling is only a part.

3/17/2015 — Oklahoma faults lines “REACTIVATED” after millions of years — Large earthquake threat warned | Dutchsinse

There is also a dormant fault line on the Eastern Seaboard that makes the San Andreas look childish and that I hope fracking, drilling and deep mining, does not disturb.

Hope all fellow audio-nuts in TX, OK, etc...are safe and sound!

Fracking is not as evil as you think. This may be a right winger diatribe, but it is mostly true...

Articles: Fracking Didn't Cause Oklahoma Earthquake
Move here and your attitude may change. An increase of 22,000% is no diatribe.

I do a daily OK earthquake report as one of my many job duties. These quakes are caused by critically stress faults (faults that are bound to break 'sometime') lubricated by wastewater disposal, not fracing. Although fracing can cause minor quakes <M2.5, it is the wastewater produced from the watery Mississippi Lime formation in the NW part of the state when reinjected into deeper formations that causes the major quakes. Once the water migrates to a critically stressed fault (N35E direction) and lubricates it enough to release the stored energy, the fault breaks causing the earthquake. The OGS has been issuing advisories to these waste water well operators and have set demands of cutting back rates, and in some cases, shutting the well in. So many people are misinformed about the fracing process and immediately put the cause of these quakes as solely being fracing induced seismic events.

But the newspapers and TV networks say it is fracking! Are they leading us on?
(Sarcasm)

Good post!

And, where does this water come from that it needs to be magically reinjected? Isn't this water the result of fracing and other forms of oil/gas withdrawal?
