Default What if you Win Big Tomorrow?

For the Global AAers, there is one of the biggest lotteries being drawn tomorrow, currently at 1.6B.

So after taxes, charities, missing cousins and commitment to discipline, what system would you put together?

MBL Reference Line?
Tidal La Assoluta?
???

OH MY... wow what a thought huh

I think I would retire and by up an top of the line audio store and then close it. Make about 4 top notch sound rooms.

Maybe I could talk Ivan into letting me by his house fully furnished in the cape yes?

For sure some more gear as well, oh and get a liver on retainer, because I would most likely drink a boat load of quality bourbon for a month. Then once my head is wrapped around it pray that I would live long enough and get healthy to enjoy it.. yes

I bought a lot of tickets for the lottery on Friday night because, hey, it was a billion dollars, and I could use that money. After I got the tickets noticed they had changed the prices of the tickets and the number of number series you got for each dollar, which is now TWO dollars, and the number of numbers that in the past were 1-48, then went to something like 1-56 and now are at 1-70. Obviously someone will win at some point, but the odds of winning have become ridiculously small--one in 302 million. The lottery commission said the reason they increased the numbers and decreased the odds of winning were because they thought people were getting bored with jackpots in the paltry range of only a few hundred million.

As David Letterman said twenty years ago when the biggest lottery was about 280 or 300 million, the odds of buying a ticket and winning were the same as NOT buying a ticket.

If you can count your money, you’re not a Billionaire.

I would buy the N.Y. Giants a new offensive line, a new quarterback, and a new head coach.

One room would have an Infinity RS-V . Always loved those giant speakers.
Another room MBL mk2 101E Radialstrahler, or the supersized version once I build some good rooms for the systems.
Another small SET/300B high efficiency setup
Curious to me the speakers are the key element. and all the rest is to support what speakers I choose.
One fantasy, possible with the size of the money, would be to start a review site. where the main key would be on comparisons of groups of products, using a variety of ancillary components of various sets, in mid level and state of the art setups. Since the comparison is always what people wish they knew. And also for powercords and IC.. lots and lots. And no having to ask for loaners. just buy the products chosen to review.

I would not know what to do.

I’ll probably build a house to house 5 super systems. And I’d probably open up the nicest audio store in the country and it wouldn’t matter if it were a losing venture. Just a Disneyland for audiophiles.

I’d build at least 2 cracking systems for home and then fly around the world regularly visiting all of the AA’er systems out there given there are so many fantastic systems amongst us all!
