No issue at our IMAX... Sound was awesome! Might be worth dropping them a note as I know IMAX doesn't have a set volume as such and the volume level is determined by each theatre.

I did & enjoyed the whole day immensely. Loved the movie & thought there was almost 2 movies in the one screening, it moved pretty quick for a trekker. The meal at Machiavelli's in Clarence St. was excellent as was the Kay Brothers 2008 Shiraz.

Listening to the Into Darkness soundtrack now and I take back what I said about Giacchino recycling the soundtrack from the 2009 movie.

London Calling is great and it features some new themes. Even the Main Title gets a slightly different arrangement. Didn't notice it in the cinema.

There are some traces that someone actually tryed to write the script or the story on which the movie was based...its just a pity, there is so few of them. Maybe there is no need for it at all, Star Trek never pretended to be a Blade Runner, but would not it be nice if there is?

That's funny, cause I've never seen a Blade Runner Convention.

Saw it yesterday on Blu Ray. Stunning visuals and conceptual designs (lots of rip offs...sorry, homages to designs of other movies or comics, but executed brilliantly...yes...with a touch of lens flare)...holds a lot of promise for JJ's Star Wars.

The plot is a joke and has signature Damon Lindelof plotholes (if writing plotholes was an olympic discipline, He would take silver for Prometheus and gold for Star Trek Into Darkness)...but contrary to the annoying Prometheus, I did not mind one nanosecond...what a ride...Chris Pine nails it as Capt James T Kirk...Zachary Quinto shines as Spock...Peter Weller is a bonafide badass.

Unfortunately the other characters are filler.

The Blu Ray stereo downmix sucks with volume levels all over the place.

It has been a long time since I enjoyed a movie that much...was grinning like a kid from start to end...can't wait to see it again...oh..did I mention Chris Pine nails it as Kirk ;-)

I just got done watching this on Blu-Ray on my killer home theater. It was EXCELLENT! Wonderfully done, fantastic visuals and GREAT sound. I thought the story was very good also.
