Default Soloist Premier SE

I have 5 Soloist Premier SE outlets just waiting to be installed in my new 2 channel listening room. I can't wait to hear the difference they will make. They do seem built very well.

Here's an interesting review on them: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79010

If anyone here has some experience with them, I would love to hear about it. Thanks.

Mike

Thanks for the review link. I put a Premier power port into a high current Ultimate Outlet which works out nice.

Pulled this off of the review-
PS Audio is considering the development of a "plug-in" Soloist version for situations where wall modification is either not allowed or is too difficult. There is no word on when, if ever, this version will be available.

Wonder if they will make the plug-in version........? If they do-I'm in for two .

That's cool. Did you notice any improvements? If so, what did you hear?

I also understand that the outlets take a while to burn in, so if you didn't hear a difference immediately, perhaps you will later on.

Regards,
Mike

Replaced two outlets . First replaced the original wall outlet with the Premier Power Port then replaced the power port in the Ultimate Outlet with the Premier Power Port.

Biggest change was a blacker background with the soundstage separating each note from the time it starts till it decays. The Premier Power Plant was already in the system when I did this .

Then I added PS Audio Noise Harvesters and Symposium RollerBlock Jr's. and my system sounds the best it ever has.

The high current UO and the Soloist are similar in design, it would be interesting to find out exactly what the differences are.

Am sure that you will notice an improvement in sound quality after they are installed.

I started with a Power Plant 300 years ago and stayed with PS Audio products for one simple reason-They enhance my listening pleasure!

Have a suggestion for you that I forgot to mention.

Take an old power cord and plug it in then remove it from each receptacle about 5 or 6 times. It will save you some swearing once they are in the wall.

The Soloist provides filtering over a larger bandwidth, resulting in greater noise reduction and ultimately a blacker background. Additionally the Soloist provides better current delivery than the High Current UO. Finally the protection circuitry in the Soloist is considerably better.

Ryan-Thanks for the info!.
One more question-PS Audio is considering the development of a "plug-in" Soloist version for situations where wall modification is either not allowed or is too difficult. There is no word on when, if ever, this version will be available.

Any chance of the plug-in model happening?
