Default Wider Horizons - Documentary on David Golmour

I watched this yesterday and I must say I enjoyed it thoroughly. Great peek into the inner workings of the man, his life, his creative process but done in such a tasteful way. Highly recommended for Gilmour fans but really for anyone who's interested in music. Hope you enjoy:

Serge...my pleasure. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Hope you did to

Dave....my biggest regret is never having seen a PF or a David Gilmour concert live. For some reason, I have not warmed up to Roger Waters' solo albums but Gilmour for me retains that bluesy/soulful but also atmospheric sound that he brought to the table at PF and I just love listening to his guitar playing, his phrasing, the tasteful choices in the notes that he chooses to play, as well as the silent spaces in his playing that communicate just as much of his intention. I am a big fan

I have been teaching myself guitar now for the last 4 months or so and I have been listening to my guitar heroes: Gilmour, Beck, Hendrix, SRV, Knopfler, and Clapton and I am so envious of their skill and talent but also so appreciative of the music they created. If I can get to 5% of the playing that these guys have in my lifetime, I will be thoroughly happy. Not easy. Also, I couldn't tell you the last time, I thought about high-end audio gear or read a review about a piece of gear. Totally into the music/guitar thing right now. [Ok I must admit I did a fair amount of reading reviews of guitars and tube amps but now I have my starter rig so I am done with that ]

Forgot to name Page, Santana, Blackmore, Walsh, and oldies like BB and Albert King, and Buddy Guy among my guitar heroes...
