Default What Classical Music Are You Listening To Tonight?

Adams: The John Adams Album
Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Kent Nagano conducting
Decca (2019), 24/96 files

Wonderful performances and sound. If you like Adams, check this one out. Very enjoyable with headphones.

Subtle and powerful playing.
When I heard him play a Beethoven Piano Concerto with the London Symphony Orchestra, he was marvelous too!

Playing this again, after attending a concert of Schubert's Winterreise (with modern dance).

Really beautiful songs of the "Flemish Brahms". Well sung (in my mother tongue) and played.

Mortelmans was a student of my (great great grand) uncle, Peter Benoit.

Winding down with music from my neck of the woods.

While my TA is out for a rewire (Nordost Valhalla silver) am forced to listen to (ugh) digital. At least there is some good music (even if it sounds "not quite right"). Beethoven's String Quartets by the Hungarian Quartet. Quite well done.

So far so good.
The recording (currently listening in stereo), seems very dynamic, the playing very good.

Going through this set again.
SACD 1.

I'm happy Sibelius appeared in Klara's Top 100 yesterday (with 'Finlandia').
There seems to be good taste amongst the listeners of my favourite classical radio channel.
