All better. Sometimes I am not so sure why the photos are no longer available. Anyway, thank you Dan.

1. Try to repaire damages
a. Try to repair the lacquer. Does anyone have suggestions? My brother told me to use a “magic foam hub” – a slightly abrasive hub.

1a. For the scratches in the lacquer I have a tip that we got from Laurence Dickie:
Use T-Cut Scratch Remover - they come in many colors

cheers,

T-Cut will only remove minor scratches. Those posted are way too deep.

The photo of the midrange driver looks like the dust cap has partly debonded from the speaker cone. I was advised that early B1s had a bit if an issue with this
(mine are recent) but they changed the adhesive and problems are less common.

I had a debonding event with one of my midrange drivers but in my case gravity or inertia from normal operation got the better of the adhesive and it popped off. Small children acting the goat should be kept well away from these speakers. Damage is fine on a $20 dollar pair of computer speakers, not fine on a $20k plus speaker. The driver was replaced under warranty. The issue you will find if it does detach is that it is aluminium foil thin. It makes it almost impossible to handle the dust cap without some sort of damage.

Great performance but ultra low mass has its disadvantages.

Yeah, I agree. That driver seemes to be debonded. I tried the speakers for a few minutes on higher volume. Neither could hear, nor see anything suspicious.
🤔

Anyway, I bought some neodym magnets today and will gluenthem to the grill to improve its adhesion to the speaker...
