Michael Brecker - The Nearness of You

A very pleasant ballads album with an all-star cast of Charlie Haden, Herbie Hancock, Jack DeJohnette, Pat Metheny, and James Taylor singing on a couple of tunes. It occasionally comes off as “smooth jazz,” but very enjoyable nonetheless.
