Default Model 9's: 30 today

I bought my Model 9 monoblocks on 24/9/1986.

They spent a couple of years boxed up but otherwise have been in daily use over this time. They've been running my rear Shahinian Arc speakers for the last 16 years. Not bad, eh?

The only negative is one of the power LEDs died about five years ago, so I'm considering demanding my money back.

Congrats on the birthday. If we keep this equipment a long time, the total cost of ownership looks much more sane. If you've had three amps in the last 36 months like me, not so much.

Cuba... Thanks. Looks like you're set now though. Outside of natural or otherwise disaster, I'm sure your A200's will outlast mine and then some.

Dan... It sure does. One mighty fine ornament. The main reason I kept it, other than being a hoarder, is one (pre-recorded) desert-island tape that I don't have on any other format. I haven't heard it in years though. Mission for the weekend: play it.
