Outstanding finds and pictures!! Can't find any Studer's around here......I found one once but the work needed to get it spinning again was too much, it was not cared for very well.

I just got back my Teac X2000R from service, recalibrated all settings rechecked and cleaned, belt replaced and it sounds lovely again!

Always enjoy a nice well made 1/4" tape copy of music. Right now cycling thru 3 10.5" reels of Christmas music.

Lots of fun!

Nice Teac!
To play with vintage R2R you have to have service nearby. In Sweden Studer is quite easy to get served and there are people that have got the knowledge and spear parts to get them in near mint condition. The Swedish national radio and television, other media, the police, the military and other institutions were using Studer here. Thats one of the reasons I chose Studer. Good quality, great performance an knowledge nearby. Ampex, Otari, Teac, Nagra, Telefunken and others are probably as good as Studer. It's the technique it selves that is superior.
I don't know about digital DSD and if that media could keep up with analogue master tapes. Some people says DSD can. I have to try it/hear it, before I believe so though.

Since these Studer R2R are vintage it's a good idea to change some old components.
My A807 will be the one I care for a bit more.
Therefore I ordered this from Nagravox to get A807 in top condition...

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

This year the new year started as always with dancing.
The Sf had to deal with high volumes and Aqua-Barbie Girl

This is Ken...

Att around 03.00h The Rite of Spring made the girls crazy and they started to dance ballet.

Today I think the speakers sounds much better.
