From my experience, wired anything is a better choice despite hi speed connection rates. Something seems to always cast interference, as it seems everything is time dependent as different variables occur at different times; electric noise, equipment, planes, etc. Kind of like a cell phone drops calls, or goes quiet in dead spots, wireless cameras stop feeding, etc

Default Streaming: wireless or wired

I just do not hear a difference. Of course, the router is 26’ straight shot away from my SilenZio.

I’ve tried both. The wired option (assuming you get no drop-outs, etc. with wireless) seems to reduce noise. That translates to less of the so-called “digital glare”. I see you have SF speakers. I used to have Cremonas (not the equivalent of yours certainly), and I found them to be more forgiving of digital glare than my current Wilsons.
All that to say, it could very well be that your system is such that it isn’t noticeable. It was noticeable in mine. In fact, my current listening room really reinforces that brightness. Anything I can do helps. I have to admit that, while I love my speakers, they are not a perfect match for my room acoustics. At least, that is my story and I’m sticking to it regarding speaker upgrade. [emoji106]

At the risk of eating a worm, I will do the test again after I get things settled with a new crossover to integrate my sub and finalize speaker locations. Probably in January.

I don't think it matters. I am wireless and everything is fine with my connection and quality of sound. Very happy with my tidal and roon rock setup. I have other things to worry about, like room treatments.

I went wired because (1) the runs were easy and (2) wireless in my house is great until it isn’t, i.e., drop outs. It is much better since I added mesh Wi-Fi, but I would still go wired for its reliability.
