Ivan, Congrats on the impressive and clean-looking install. What brand of power outlets and power conditioners do you use?

Roger

Ivan, I bet the power dims for a square mile when you turn all that on.

Here are some Platinum Eclipse G7 Speaker cables & XLRS (daisy chained) on the Hagerman FryKleaner Cable Burner. The loop is directionally closed in this 2nd phase of the "current" burn. The first burn phase prior was an open "voltage" burn of approx. 48 hours continuous.

The G7 speaker cables are stiff given their diameter & density but they can be carefully coaxed into the direction you want. I think with such a cable, you should factor around a 30mm bend radius for installations.

The XLRs are also stiff but the bend radius is only 20mm.

These are heavy cables but their density helps to support them. Notwithstanding, the speaker cables given their weight should be supported, eg. cable elevators.

I use them on all, except speaker cables (they don't fit)

Ferrite beads are inductors and help filter noise and help smooth out variations in current. You do not want to use them on speaker cables where the variations are very much intended (volume changes).

I read up on using ferrite beads on speaker wires a while back and there's definite arguments both ways. The main reason to use them is to reduce rf noise getting to the speakers. The argument against using them is the rf won't get reproduced by the drivers anyways so it really only adds inductance. I'm by no means an expert on ferrite beads, especially on speaker wires. Any experts out there care to chime in?

I'm just concerned that if they don't bend enough connecting and placing them behind the close quarters of my gear could be problematic.

Thanks,

I haven't dusted in a while so no photos. But I have WW Stratus and Electra power cords and they are pretty flexible; they can negotiate corners well, too. I was told by a vendor that Kimber power cords are even more flexible, but I don't have one on hand to test. But based on their Hero interconnect, it may well be true.
