So Jim, because you don't feel the need to own a firearm or carry one for self-defense, the rest of us that do are pussies who should hide in the closet.

Please Jimmy help me be a man like you, teach me, please, I implore you, I beg of you... in the meanwhile, I'll be in the closet, clinging to my Bible and my gun...

He and his self-serving cronies have turned the NRA into a super PAC with the primary aim of rewarding themselves with members' money. Am hopeful that the NY state AG's investigation will result in the whole crew of them going to jail so the NRA can get back to its roots of supporting competition, hunting and gun ownership & training. Am so tired of the NRA begging more money from members in order to line their own pockets.

So based on that statement, you feel that you have the right to own the type of firearms you want to own, but the rest of the law-abiding shooting community doesn't have the right to own a semi-automatic rifle, simply because you don't have a need for one.

That's exactly the problem, you get to have what you want, but we don't get to have what you don't like.

Hypocrisy at its finest...

And down we go!

Let’s keep focused on music, equipment and hobbies... This is a conversation to have with a cold beer on a deck sometime but not here.

Where did I say "the rest of the law-abiding shooting community doesn't have the right to own a semi-automatic rifle"? I said I think they are unsporting/unfair for hunting. A far different thing. We have rules for all sorts of things. No reason guns should be any different. Don't need silencers and they, like semi-auto rifles were illegal to hunt with in most states until recently. Just like the 22cal centerfire cartridges were illegal to hunt with in most states until recently. And open carry. No legitimate reason for them (and hi-cap mags, etc.). The wild west was well over 100 years ago.
