Plus our cameras don’t scratch the surface of what we have invested in Audio gear.

At least that’s the case in my scenario.

I took delivery of a DP-750 from Ivan about two weeks ago. I wanted to give it some time to settle in before i made some comments on its qualities. Accuphase has a superb way with how they realize digital reproduction. Always a relaxed but focused and non fatiguing presentation has only been made more apparent with this piece. After about 200 hrs it really began to sing in oh so musical ways. Inner detail, harmonies, and coherence that were slightly obscured and smoothed over in the 720 cleared up.There was a general cleaning of the sonic picture, but without highlighting and emphasizing any part of the music. It just seemed a way more natural and complete presentation. I felt like there was a more analog quality, like i was listening to a really good, high end turntable/cartridge. It's a superb disc player with a DAC that can allow great flexibility.

If this review is any indication, the publication is aptly named. How he does go on - philosophically. (I found the Google translation a difficult read.)

Can you tell me whether the DP-750 does gapless playback of PCM/DSD data discs? The DP-560 doesn't and it would be interesting to compare.

If you're asking me ,specifically, to answer your question, I would have to defer to another more tech savy member than me to give you an appropriate answer.

According to the review, the DP560 doesn't offer gapless playback of PCM or DSD files. I assume the DP750 will be similar.

Thanks Tommy. The ability to play hi rez PCM and DSD files on data discs is a big advantage for Accuphase because you dont need to compromise sound quality by using a computer based server. i just wish the DP-950 had the same ability. It can play DSD discs , but not hi-rez PCM data discs.
