Default Architectural Monitor Outdoor Speakers

Bowers & Wilkins - Architectural Monitor 5" 100W 2-Way Indoor/Outdoor Loudspeakers (Pair) - Black.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Best Buy's Magnolia store has a good deal on them. I have only ever used inexpensive outdoor speakers. I guess my main question is whether the benefits of a quality speaker like this can justify their cost in a backyard setting.

I have them and really enjoy them. I was very pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of all of the music I played through them. They have great bass for a 5 inch driver and do a fantastic job providing music for my outdoor space. I am using the rear channels of my McIntosh Mc8207 and the zone 2 output of my Marantz 7702 Mark2.

I will be purchasing another pair for my Sunbrite TV as the soundbar in the words of my wife "sounds terrible and needs to be replaced as soon as possible"

I have the predecessors, the WM6. After at least a dozen years in Michigan weather, they still sound excellent.

I would grab the speakers if there is a good deal on them.

Hope this helps.

Default Great outdoor speakers!

I replaced old Niles speakers which were the largest outdoor speakers at the time. This upgrade far exceeded my expectation! They sound incredible! Highs and bass response are fantastic for a home system, but these are outside! If your looking for high end sound for your outdoors, these are the ticket. You can tell by their design a lot went into these. Even the mounting system is so unique.

What speakers did you select and where did you purchase?

Bowers & Wilkins AM1. Easily the best outdoor speaker at that price.
