Default When a model comes alive.

Always a very special feeling when after many hours of mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, setting the model up and programming the radio, the model comes alive and leaves the safety of the terra firma for the first time!

Here is one of my recent model helicopter projects going up for a maiden flight/hover. This is the American Freedom paint scheme. Very patriotic.

Congrats on first flight! I’ve got a couple of Goblin 770s that I need to shake the dust off and start flying again! Good to meet another Heli Guy! Here’s my dusty collection when we moved in new house last year.

Nice! I am working on a 770 Sport at the moment.

I used to fly helis back in the nitro days and took a long break from the hobby. I am back in the full swing now. Things have changed so much in the hobby and I don't see nearly the same amount of participation like I used to but then again us heli guys were always the minority at any flying field.

Congrats, always a good feeling of accomplishment when they are trimmed out and on deck.

I have a slight Heli addiction since '99, hence all the Miniature Aircraft 99SE's. More in the cabinets...

Wow another Heli addict! I see you have many flybar models still. That’s what I started on. The good ole days of Miniature Aircraft, Hirobo, Thunder Tiger, JR and Robbe machines and the smell of Nitro! .
