802D2 and DB1
Hi,
I have a pair of 802D2 and I missed some of The really low bass. B&W have a sub, The DB1, especially suitable for The 800 serie. But it is rather big and costly. Anyone having any experience of it? One of My dealer says that It's much better to go with, for example, two Velodyne 1200 Ultra instead. Same money but much better SQ and not so sensible for Room placing with two subs. /Lasse

Two sub are normally always better than 1 of equal quality. The DB1 has had great reviews and can keep up with the very best. If your end result is two subs then the velodyne would suffice, but if you wanted a system to grow from the DB1 I think would be the better choice. Get one of those now and xover low say 40hz you may be satisfied with one sub solution. Later if you want more SPL and better room response another DB1 would be there as an option.

Considering the DB1 has a file in the DSP set up for the 802's I'd pick that over a pair of Velodynes. However I've set up a pair of 800's with a pair of F112's and that was a very good pairing
