The majority answered 450k and above. I also find it hard to believe.

taters.......I'm not a manufacturer. That's an entirely different subject from your original questions.

Stereophile or TAS (not sure which) did a poll of their readers on this exact thing and if I remember correctly the median (midpoint of the range not average) was in the $20Kish range if I remember correctly but they also showed the distribution of their readership ay different price ranges. I'll try to find it on the Google machine and post a link but that sounds right to me, when you consider the readership is already pre-selected (are all audiophiles) and into this hobby. I bet you the average for the typical non-audiophile household is in the hundreds of dollars and is typically fare bought at the big box retailers (HT in a box). The average household views Bose as a premium/high-end purchase. So two different groups altogether.

Yeah. Either the sample size was small and only a few guys with systems like Ivan voted or people are exaggerating or both. C'mon, not everyone has top of the line, full-range Swiss-made equipment.

WTP = Wishful Thinking Poll, but who really cares.

For me it's all about how many boxes I can sneak in the house, and not get thrown out.

There's just no way 450k is the average. Look at the variety here on AA... I don't see many systems in that range. Some... But not many.

I agree with you on that totally. Who really cares ? If they do then why ? No good reason I could see.

Why are you talking about what people are saying on another forum? Can't you participate there?

Why are you looking to extend that discussion on AA by asking people here to judge if the commenters on another forum are truthful?

What's the point, taters?
