Dan,
I moved from Rhapsody to MOG to Spotify I did the same thing. The honey moon ended as soon as I returned to my CD Audio (via iMac/iPod), SACD, and, on occasion, my Vinyl Library.

I went from Rhapsody---->Spotify----->MOG------->Rhapsody. The SQ differences between Spotify and MOG were negligible but MOG would offer similar artist when you misspelled a name. All of them saved me a lot of money since I was able to preview entire albums before committing to a Amazon purchase. Now Rhapsody saves me even more with its SooLoos integration. As long as I keep paying my monthly $10 I can add all of the marginal albums I want to my SooLoos listings. I just wish I had that slight bump to Spotify/MOG SQ.

Good Comments.

I still feel like I should have bought a SooLoos aka Meridian Digital Media System a while back. I think their way of handling Metadata and using Rhapsody is certainly a pay for what you get feature! Very well integrated.

Never-the-less, Audirvana and my iMac w/ iTunes works well. Also a special mention the iTunes Radio (FREE) and iTunes Match features ($24.99/yr)

I have been a MOG subscriber for a long time mostly because of the "similar artist" feature that is available on Sonos. I tried Spotify but at the time they didnt have that option. We entertain often and MOG allows us to take almost any request from guests and play it within a few seconds. The best option on the MOG iPhone app is the ability to download songs that are stored locally so they can still be played when online streaming isnt available.

All of those features are available on Beats Music so I will be moving the subscription over there soon. I have been able to pull up almost any album posted in the "what are you listening/streaming/spinning tonight" threads to see if it is something I would be interested in purchasing. For $10 per month it is an extremely cheap way to try new music out before committing to purchasing a hard copy.

I have to admit I have really have enjoyed MOG, but life goes on and I'll make a choice soon on which music service to move to.

So in the mean time I've been having a fun time playing around with the new Beats Music on my iphone app. & sonos. Unfortunately I just downloaded the iphone app. on to my ipad 1(there is no ipad app.)and found out the ipad 1 does not support the Beats Music app. I guess I'll have to break down and get a new ipad, probably almost time anyway. Or, maybe I'll try another service.

I'm also a MOG subscriber and use it mostly to preview albums before buying, or occasionally for that one song that isn't in the collection. My primary use though is through the squeezebox devices around the house so lack of a squeezebox app for Beats will send me over to Spotify, even though their app isn't as good for searching, especially for classical.

Same thing for me - since I'm using my SB Touch as my primary streamer still at this point, I decided to try out the 30 day free trial of Spotify. If I like it I'll keep it, but I don't like that it is $10/mo vs. the $5/mo I was paying for MOG.

I made the move to Beats Music last night. I figured why wait until the last minute for MOG to end.

Beats Music makes sense for me. The $14.99 AT&T family plan where you can have up to 5 accounts and 10 devices is excellent for me to share with my 21 & 23 year olds. What I really like is that they have their own accounts so they have no need to share my account and mess up my favorites list.

The only real competition for Beats was Spotify since that sound quality is similar to Beats. The Beats $14.99 family plan separated the two choices and made it an easier decision for me. I kicked back with my daughter last night and set up our individual accounts, two of the five included for $14.99. I was curious to see what she thought. She said it was very cool with so much music. She liked it.

The music quality is suppose to be equal to MOG which makes me happy. I still have MOG but will likely shut it down this week. A new journey begins.

Transferring MOG playlist to Beats. In case anyone missed this email. I had mine transferred last night. They still remain on MOG too, so you'll have access for now to your playlists on both services if you do the transfer. http://support.beatsmusic.com/hc/en-...o-Beats-Music-
