Firmware is 2014.07b.

Should I upgrade?

Yes there is a newer firmware... I don't recall the version but it does start with 2016.***.

Firmware and all the info files are located at:
http://support.bryston.com/site/?downloads

Go to the SP3 folder.

Third line down in that folder will take you to the current firmware (or you can get it from the web interface on your SP3).

Thanks to all for your responses. I've isolated the issue: The "dvr" input isn't passing DD. I tried two other inputs, and they both work with surround.

Guess I need to get hold of Stan. If I have to send the unit in, at least I can let him do the update.

Or maybe I'll just bite the bullet and do it myself.

Meanwhile, I've reprogrammed my Harmony and I'm good to go.

Would you keep us updated, in case we ever have a similar problem? It'd be great to know what the fix ends up being.

I will, once I contact Stan, or whoever. Pretty sure I'll need to send it in, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Basically, I think it's a bad input, for whatever reason, and not something that can be fixed by software.
