New McIntosh MC901 Dual Mono Amplifier
I do think this is an awesome product - but an unfortunate name. Really 901s?
I often wonder what a SS amp would do for the music I listen to. With these monos, I would have ability to hear and then switch back the tubes I would probably favor.

Well at least they went back to the conventional chassis and lettering. They really struck out with the 2152. But with that depth they should put the meter on a hinge so we can rotate the entire unit 90 degrees for easier placement. I would never place anything like the MC 901 on the floor. Detailed info still not on the website. Is this the perfect amp for a JBL DD67000? Or two for 4 Klipsch Jubilees? or two Altec 817's with four 3156 woofers and two MR 94 horns with a wye throats and 4 four Drivers ? They should have put a digital read out to get the crossover settings just right.

Question is, will they make a more “reasonably priced” (lower power) version in the future?....
150 tube / 300 ss.....OR.....75 tube / 150 ss. This opens up a new product category for Mc.

I'm out of town at the moment, in sunny Michigan (20 degrees at the moment) and am just now seeing this amp for the first time over morning coffee. It was a real eye opener! Just....WOW.
 It's a monster for sure, and not for the faint hearted or for those on a weak budget.... Okay, this is probably a silly question...If you don't have bi-ampable speakers then you aren't invited to the party right? In any event, these are definitely very unique, and do take a bit of getting used to visually. I think I do like it though....
