Default Tidal Skipping

Is anyone else having issues with Tidal skipping and dropping out? I'm experiencing it with the desktop app, iPhone app, and with my Aurender. Seems like the problem is getting worse every day.

I've had that happen while in my car but just wrote it off to cell data issue. Been fine at home playing through Roon.

Rick U.......I am streaming Tidal through my Aurender N10 with no problems what so ever. I have been listening to Tidal this evening for about two hours and the music is playing continuous without any skipping.

Yes. My Internet is 200Mbps and Tidal has been terrible for weeks now. Intermittent issues of buffering and such. I am about to cancel my service now that I have 10TB of FLAC files that are available 24/7 through my Aurender.

Dang, I don’t think I can cancel. I’m addicted. I discover great music every day. I hope I can sort this out.

Here too since June. It is strictly on them no matter what they tell you if you contact them. You might want to consider Qobuz if you don't want to wait for them to sort it out which will be expensive. No MQA, but flawless streaming even with high resolution options. If no progress before my month runs out in two weeks I will cancel too and rely on Qobuz and Spotify. Tidal was a joy to use for well over a year and then it went downhill quickly.

I never have an issue with Tidal when I use it with Sooloos. I have an occasional issue when using Tidal with Roon (same endpoint) where it loses the endpoint but this only occurs after I have let the Roon core go to sleep on my laptop. After restarting Roon and allowing a rescan of my music does it stabilize. No "dropouts" for me.

A lot of users are having similar problems recently, and reportedly Tidal has been working on making some improvements to their network infrastructure to address the issue. Only time will tell if they get this sorted out...

I routinely stream Tidal HiFi via my McIntosh MB50 Streaming Audio Player and it has been flawless. No dropouts whatsoever.
