Dam this thread is still going. I decided to pass on vinyl and go with a caps based music server with a NAS. Been downloading HDTracks with great results......

So I am resurrecting this thread. I simply want to comment on my VPI Classic 3 and how I have interacted with this source. I love this table and believe it truly hits a cost to value ratio that is a great choice. I am young at only 31 years old and never had vinyl in my home as a child. The biggest issue I have had is cleaning the records, because of my OCD clean is never really clean in my eyes. Well now the Klaudio ultrasonic cleaner is on the market my interest in vinyl is refreshed. I do not have the funds at this point to make such a purchase but I am setting back those dollars to do so. When I do play vinyl I can honestly say it is a more rewarding experience and I believe I am getting fantastic sound from my rig. IF you are thinking about stepping into analog I believe a Classic 3 with the new Klaudio is a great way to go. The future of vinyl looks very bright for me.

Classic 3 owner here, too. Are you saying you have compared records cleaned with Klaudio sound superior to records cleaned with the VPI 16.5, or other similar wet vacuum machines? How much superior? Thanks.

I was not comparing, just posting my personal observations with the Klaudio.

My audiodesk clearly improved the sound over my 16.5. The detail and decay on notes was greatly improved. It was not even close. It is a lot of money though, I have no regrets. I also find I can by vg+/ex used and it will play nm after AD. I also must note I have a very fine tip stylus, so I am probably in uncharted territory on the 60-70's records.
