I have a hard time believing a cable that is probably $4000 or $5000 can not only make a big difference, but can possibly live up to it's price...sorry.

I was the same way for over 20 years but these and others from Elrod shattered that belief.

To Believe something you will have to turn to religion ;-) As an Elrod user I have to say that his cables should be considered components. But the proof is in the pudding: give one of them a try. But beware... you will become a "Believer" ;-)

+1. They come up infrequently on the used market which could save some money but most who try do buy them and keep them for many years...

The Cable Company and 2 dealers, 1 In Texas have a few models for demo.

I ordered the Master Gold loudspeaker cables and will order a power cable next month. Hope the PC will be the Master Diamond (depending on funds)

a short "review" concerning the Master Diamond Power Cable and Master Gold loudspeaker cable. After half a week. Initially I had planned to put the set on repeat and come back after a few days. However.... after playing for half an hour the music kept pulling me into my listening room. The following key words apply: organic sound, very clear, total absense of "digitalism" and above all the paradox: extreme high resolution combined with dense musical information. In short: WOW. And mind you: this is with 2 interlinks of 9 euros from a European equivalent of Wall Mart; still awaiting my custom-built golden interlinks. And a budget MIT power cable into power supply for the Pre and CD-player.
Here is a description what I heard. After about six hours, the depth in soundstage appeared. After about 14 hours, the soundstage became rock solid, precise placement of instruments. Also a lot of info of recording acoustics. Noise floor extremely low (noticing new sounds on very familiar recordings). To be continued :-)
