I have a dedicated theater, that has started to morph into a 2 channel room only. I found myself leaving the projector off and listening to two channel music...I recently removed the surround equipment and sold off the 5.1 B&W 803 Matrix speaker system to make way for a better 2 channel system. I bought a pair of Salk Soundscape 8s a year ago, and loved them until two weeks ago, when I heard the Revel Salon 2s and found myself fantasizing about them in my room.

Currently I am saving to replace my aging Bryston 14BST amp, Bryston SP1.7 processor with a 5SE and REF150. The CD9 was a nice piece of gear that I would be interested in, if it decoded DSD on the DAC and played SACD. I use a Cambridge audio 840C CD player and Oppo BDP105 for Hirez DVD -A , SACD, and hi rez flac files from a hard drive...All my gear will be getting replaced at some point....The plan is to get the 5SE in July, the REf 150 in the fall and maybe I will trade the Salks for Revel Salon2 or maybe Wilsons. The reality is that I will have to eat this elephant one bite at a time, so it could take up to a full year to get everything on my wish list..

I am also looking into the possibility of getting into vinyl. I read a lot about it, and only heard records at Axpona shows and a few other audio venues, and I really want to maximize my future all AR system with a decent spinner as well....

I look forward to drinking up all the knowledge in this forum, and listening to any suggestions from you all. I have read many of the threads going back deep into the AA threads, while I was in solitary confinement... You have killer systems and I can learn a lot from you all..

You guys are truly the best. I had a good laugh. I will work on becoming a subscriber. And, I will do my best to avoid any of the AA torture techniques by being a model member!

Pete you don't need to work to hard just follow the link supplied by Dan pay a few pennies a day and you are in. The market place is the best place to buy some great used gear from very trust worthy individuals. The money you will save is more than worth the price of admission. The people are great to deal with. As well you support what in my opinion is the friendliest audio forum on the net. And Ivan did not even pay me to say this.
