Thumbs up Upgrade, Major Upgrade!

My new custom length Eclipse 7 XLR's arrived today.

Ohhhh, are they pretty?! I just had time to lay them out, run their course, and make connections before leaving for work. Well, two songs were played

Will give more details and feedback as I have time to listen, but here are a few pics for now.

Ivan, thank you for the great service and AA discounts. The 10meter length is perfect.

Happy Listening,

Al

Host them at photobucket or flickr, then you can use the "Insert Image" function here.

You can also upload pics to your control panel's pictures & albums area & link/paste into the thread from there.

Wow 10m!

I'm going to need long lengths eventually as well. What do you have them to compare to?

Quick question - Is there any issue running the cables in wall?

The small guage wires in the middle pic are what I've been using. They are Belden cables. These were inexpensive, but offered a chance to set up amps beside the L and R speakers.

On first plug in, the Eclipse 7's were noticeably more crisp and open in the full range, and especially in the mids and highs. I'm looking forward to the 40-50hr mark to give a more complete review.

Happy Listening,

Al

New Silver Eclipse 7 1m interconnects went in the loop yesterday. These SE7's are bringing the signal from my Timbre DAC to my Ref40 Preamp. They replaced DH Labs Air Matrix XLR'S.

Wow! Right off the bat I hear more clarity and micro details. Also, The Bass! The lows are more deep, controlled and mid-bass more life like. I hear the instrument, not just the sound. Amazing!

Happy Listening,

Al
