Is it satin finish or gloss black? Have you tried an automotive product like 3M mirror glaze compound? Not the rubbing compound that is too abrasive, you need the lighter product that removes surface scratches from black paint, and restores the luster. I have had black cars (6) total and it works very well. Before I sold them I used it on my old Wilson Watt Puppy 7's that were purchased demo units. Just a thought.

Back on topic, I was very pleased with JL Audio and their help as I had to replace the "board" on one of my Fathom F113's. They shipped it out, and I had my dealer who's more of an acquaintance than dealer install it and no more issues. From having spoken with Barry he's very open and vocal in what he says. I'm sure Ivan has some stories since he's a dealer. It was funny as Barry said my Maxx 3's produce,"fake bass"! This was during the discussion on crossover points and integrating them both in my room with the new speakers.

Sharp, they are gloss black. I was afraid to try anything but what the hell at this point. Also, I would like to try some of your fake bass. Maybe Barry meant the fish kind?

I will try some of this 3m you speak about and give it a whirl on those swirls. Sorry about that!

Why have a chalk board when you have a couple F113's laying around I always say.
