It's hard to go wrong with any Dorati on Mercury Living Presence recorded by Wilma Cozart-Fine.

His Firebird has a pretty stable spot in my fluctuating Top 10. If nothing else it tells me what an incredible genius is that rhythmic devil Stravinsky. Resolving the timbre of the low bass at the outset will say a lot about a system.
