for rings, even on my clearaudio table I use TT Weights. better centering tool too, imo.

Turntable Outer Rings Systems

Make sure you discuss you table for determining what ring weight is best. Suspended type turntables may have issues with perimeter rings. I use the 2.2lb super ring for my innovation compact. Definatley improves the sound and of course flattens the records.

Not sure I'd spend the extra money and use up more real estate unless I wanted to run 3 arms, or if someone could prove there was a clear sonic advantage to having the motor decoupled from plinth. I like the looks of my Innovation wood as it is -- cleaner lines.

you can forget about using a perimeter ring on a suspended table, unless you can get different springs.

So the pictures in this thread I posted are not of the Master Innovation according to the US distributor. It was a concept table clearaudio was showing off at the last Munich Hi-Fi show. The Master Innovation (prototype) was debuted this past weekend at a seattle dealer and will be at RMAF in October. They sent me a pic (bitmap) that is not on a web server, so I can't share it here. Imagine two innovations stacked one on top of the other. The one on the bottom..it's platter is the magnetic drive that spins the top platter. That is the best way I can describe it. Looks awseome !

I have seen the Master Innovation and yes its much different then the pic you posted.....The discription of the table looking like two Innovations stacked is what it looks to me also.....The one I saw had an acrylic sub platter on the bottom which is part of the mag drive system with the Delrin platter on top......I thought it was a killer looking table.
