When it comes to harmonically rich components like Shindo the marriage with the pure silver Plats is just quite magical. If Shindo is known for its emotional connectivity then I'd consider Platinum Eclipse the spiritual match of the Shindo. In fact I had never heard the system sound so Shindo till I switched over to the new signal cables.

My next component upgrades are likely to be similarly rich triode based amps so I know the plats are more than suited to the challenge.

Best of all I'm finding I'm drawn to a greater diversity in all the kinds of music I love. Joyfully connected and as Tima so beautifully put it, completely non-cognitive listening.

PS I'm sure they'd go great with the Halgorythme!
Sounds like the perfect description of a cable that gets out of the way and lets you hear your equipment and not the cables.

On the amp front I'm looking at a few different amps but not finalised yet. I've always really liked EL34, 211 and 845 based amps so there's a couple of options out there.

But I'm really happy I stretched the budget and went for the plats. Another piece of the puzzle solved.

Kondo, Leben, ... Halgorythme...?
You'll have to come over and listen when all in installed.

May I ask what qualities you prefer with the WW in comparison to the Shunyatas?

The best cables seem to let through what seems like everything that is there within the musical performance, all the beauty and body as well as the detail without sounding at all mechanical or processed. Its a rare capacity to impart that real sense of energy and aliveness capturing the tension of the energetic spirit while also expressing emotion and beauty much in the way it can happen with original live music. The best cables just don't seem to get in the way of the experience of the performance.

I found with signal cables the Wireworld Plats hit that level of the very real and the beautiful.

Shunyata make some of the best power cables in the world, it is what they are really great at. They are quite expensive and they are hard to beat and along with their Cyclops, Triton and Typhon conditioners they also allow the system to not get in the way of the experience of the music at all.

The combination of Plats on signals and Shunyata on power just works really well.

audiot servant,
My system consists of the following: Aerial 7Ts, Bryston BDP-2, Bricasti M1 DAC that's connect directly to a Jeff Rowland M525 amp, WW Silver 7 speaker cables, WW Silver 7 XLR interconnect, WW Gold AES cable from BDP-2 to the M1 DAC and all WW Silver Power cables.
My question is will changing 1 cable...from the Silver 7 XLR to the Platinum XLR make a significant difference? Thanks in advance

Ricjor,
I'm sure Ivan will have a greater sense on this as he has tried a diverse range of components with these cables but I would consider putting the money towards upgrading to Plat speaker cables first before anything else. The SCs will likely deliver a far greater return than would be had from upgrading just one set of ICs as your current SCs will set the limit for what you'll get.

There have been two pairs of second hand Plat eclipse speaker cables up lately. They come up every now and then. The SCs are definitely the place to start from my experience... ICs I'd do later.

I'm not ready to spend that much money on cables. I just figured relatively speaking the Platinum ICs are inexpensive compared to the Platinum SCs.

Graham, you'll be most welcome!

There ain't no cure, there ain't no cure, there ain't no cure for love... (of good sound).

I called WW and of course they said I should hear an improvement by going from the Silver to the Plat IC, but agreed that the most impact would be from upgrading the SCs. My thoughts now are to upgrade from the Gold AES to the Plat and from the Silver ICs to the Plat ICs.
