Default Oppo BDP-93

OPPO BDP-93 Blu-ray Disc Player

Dual HDMI 1.4 with Qdeo video processor. Looks like another winner from Oppo

PS. There will be a 93SE or 95 coming up next year for audiophiles.

Tommy.......And Oppo is still holding the price down, too. $499.00 is hard to beat for that level of performance. I have the BDP-83, and the BDP-83SE. Both are very fine performers.

is this model using a different vid processor/upscale ??.. i believe the bdp-83 uses an anchor bay chip, which is quite good.. and no WIFI ??.. please.. OPPO, you can do better than this.. add wifi and why change away from the anchor bay chip.. also, i dont think there has been a release date yet..ADD WIFI..

I believe Qdeo is supposed to be better than the Anchor Bay in terms of processing and scaling capabilities.

I agree. I recall you compared the 83SE with MCD500 and noticed little difference between the 2 machines playing CDs

Dan is correct - it will be the BDP-95 and from what I have read, it will be a completely new design built from the ground up, not just a different DAC and analog components replacing those in the BDP-93. Should be interesting...
