Bar,
IDAF = Interior Designer's Acceptance Factor... Typically less tolerant than the WAF...
Les,
I don't know how to adequately describe it for you. But what I found was that the Os' seem to disappear, to some small extent, in my room. And, something like the Zu just seems to be more right there in your face. Putting aside the Zu's sound attributes, I suspect the Zu's height made them more visually obvious. Let me also add that the my wife thought of them as the "classic college dorm speaker", and she occasionally quipped that they were like some monoliths...

I heard the 96's with a range of shindo pre an power, with shindo speaker cables and they sounded great. Dealer had a treated room and set the speakers about 4ft from back and side walls. Very impressive and has convinced me to go over to the green side

Nice! Are you in the US?
Might consider the nice but less expensive a23 cables that all rave about with Shindo.

No, I'm in Geneva but I'm in New York every five weeks or so and had my first hearing at In Living Stereo in NYC which is an excellent setup, Steve is very knowledgable.

Looks like John DeVore may be showing the 0/93's at RMAF. The 0/96's were projected as the middle speaker in the Orangutan line. The 0/93's will fall in under the 96's. Just figured it was worth mentioning. Cheers !

I hope John DeVore can offer the O/96's finish on their other models. It is very nice.

Yep, certainly seems like a new member of the family will be shown. I'm anxious to see the 0/93's and perhaps the top of the line 0/98's (a guess?).

Well if John shows his O98's I'll make the jump without hesitation!
