I listened to the album this afternoon and was not impressed. Way too laid back when compared to "Currency of Man". I can't take those slow paced songs for too long. ZZZZZZ

The album was nicely recorded in MQA.

I canceled my vinyl preorder, I don't see spinning this more than once and I have a huge section already of one play vinyl. Even the best quarterbacks throw a duck once in a while.

These were my impressions last week (I was being polite, won't be playing this again):

Melody has a nice voice.
Everyone here will agree.
I adored her first albums.
This one is for nice and cosy background listening.
Not more, not less.
She surrounded herself with good musicians.

It feels like the latest batch of Melody Gardot, Diana Krall and Norah Jones releases is not pleasing everyone, their earlier albums seemed to get better consensus...

Especially the Napa/Sonoma wines! Such a tragedy. Although I have faith the respected wineries will not put out any ‘nameplate’ wines that are tainted.

They withheld a lot of wine in 2017 from tainted grapes. No doubt they will do that again.

I prefer California wines to most others so I also hope not...
