I use two of them totalling 3 metres across. Most of the cmpartments are filled with books which also make a nice acoustic treatment!

Sorry, my place is a little messy too. But here's about a two thirds of them. More pics in a week when I get a bunch of gear shipped back to mfrs...

I picked up three of these and cut some 1/4" ply to install on the back side to beef them up.....Also adding some 1/2" x 1/2" wood trim pieces as stops so the LPs don't slide back and last will be some L brackets to secure them to the wall.....cheap but effective once modified

Room is in a current messed up stage since I purchased new McIntosh gear and have stuff scattered.

Anyway I built these shelves to hold misc, records, laser disc, tape etc.

I only have about 750 12" , some old 78s, and over 600 45s. Not all in this pic.

Soon as I finish tax time and get some time to connect the new cables, rest of the gear etc. I plan on picking up some acoustic panels and a full make over.

Records are from A-z all types, even have 2 huge crates stored from grand parents( to bad not great shape ) but a lot of 50s and early 60s stuff

I live in a small townhouse by myself, so maximizing the use of space is key. My Ikea Expedit record rack fits perfectly in the "alcove" beneat the L-shaped tile counter that separates my kitchen area from the living area.

I've been going through and actually getting rid of some of my original rock or classical LPs I've recently bought duplicates of that are "more original"/earlier/better than my originals (starting to learn what to look for in labels, releases, covers, or in the dead wax, etc. For example, if you ever come aross a used, clean, Led Zep LP with "Pecko" or "Porky's prime cut" in the dead wax, buy it) just so I have some more room to expand into when I get new content. I really don't need three copies of Fleetwood Mac's Kiln House or Bare Trees!

I have six of the Expedit units (one 5x5, four 4x4, one 2x4) throughout the house as well as built-in hallway closet and basement shelving.

I'm trying to do the math on how many albums that might be...

There's some serious vinyl collections here! I may have to refer back to this thread at some point since my record cabinet is full and I have some additional albums that need a home.

I'm too embarrassed to post a picture of mine - it looks so wimpy compared to the serious collections on here.

I use Cube at the moment which is a modular system catering for 12" and 7". Wifey doesn't like it so the ideas on here are very useful.
