Yep. That has always been the case. Balanced Transparent cables cost twice their single ended brethren.

Forgive me, but I can make neither heads nor tails of the upgrade sheet.

I recently acquired Opus MM2 speakers cables in an 8-foot length. If I wanted to upgrade to the new top of the line speaker cable in the same length, what value would I be given for the trade?

I've just gotta ask. What sonic difference have the addition of your Opus MM2s made?

Surprisingly dramatic improvements. Nearly like going without a clock. Or like using a Scarlatti DAC vs Vivaldi DAC. In a top end digital source, these cable are just as important as interconnects...

Wow! I must look into that. If you could only buy one cable - for now - would it the digital IC or a power cord?

It's a close call here. But I'd do power cords first...

Really? Ok. Perhaps I should invest in a TA PowerLink Ref MM2X to connect to my newly installed TA PowerIsolator 8.

None, yet -- they haven't been installed! LOL

I've been so slammed with work these last few months I haven't been home long enough at one stretch to be able to set up a time to have my dealer come install them.

And now I'm planning a move from my apartment to a house in two weeks, so I was planning to have the new cables installed then, at which time he'll also install Stillpoints and recalibrate the Alexias.

I can't wait. I'm actually moving from my beloved apartment home of the last six years to a much larger single family detached home -- just so I can let the Alexias breathe, and I can crank the volume.
