My best addition to my audio system this year was hands down, the Shunyata Altaira CGS/SGS.

I was extremely doubtful that I could possibly get any further improvements. After speaking with Ivan several times, he encouraged me to try it.

Boy, am I glad I did! I can’t believe how much my existing system improved so drastically. For those of you that already own it, you know exactly what I am talking about.

For anyone that hasn’t tried it in your own system at home, do yourself a favor and speak to Ivan.

I can honestly say these old ears have never been happier.

Sure has & yes, for the remaining 8 days anyways – 2024 is already booked for new incoming gear.

Best Sirs,

In so doing it required several steps all at once and so I don't have any best or worse - IMO, it was a synergy-based bank withdrawal:

(1) VAC 450iQ Monos
(2) VAC Master Preamp
(3) dCS Rossini CD/SACD Transport
(4) dCS Rossini Clock
(5) 2 Nordost Odin 2 110-ohm AES/EBU Digital Cables on dCS Transport to DAC (note 1).
(6) HRS M3X2-1921's for amps, HRS G7 Footers/G-Links & Sound Anchor Conecoasters
(7) Wilson Audio Acoustic Diodes
(8) Shunyata Everest 8000 Power Distribution w/Omega XC Power Cable
(9) Nordost Odin XLR's on dCS Rossini DAC & Amps

Note 1: You know it's quite possible that you went too far when XLR's cost more than a preamp & a dCS clock & they issue gloves for handling them.

Best to all,

Bob

Beautiful system Bon!
