Default Château de Wilson

Placed an order today for Wilson Sophia 3 in Macademia color. Since I have 2 projects, a HT room and a dedicated 2 channel "analog room" which will be used to listen and store vinyl, I will also order a pair of Sasha's later on. Once the theater is complete, I will try both pairs in those rooms to see which ones will serve the theater vs the analog room. The rooms are different sizes at 15.5x26x10 and 13.5x21x9. Depending on which speaker feels at home in my analog room and of course I would prefer the Sasha for analog room, the rset of the supporting gear will fall in place. Theater will be powered by Ayre MX-Rs and Ayre V6 amps. The analog room will most likely be ARC Reference pieces.

That's the plan for right now...

I am using Sophia 2's in my combo HT/2 channel room and they are awesome for HT, especially with a pair of Fathom 113's as support. Congrats!!

Oh yeah, this will be the first time I have ever purchased speakers before auditioning. I am very confident Sophia 3 will not dissapoint. of course Sasha's I am very familiar with and miss them terribly.

Not as exciting as orange but will blend in a bit better into my mostly brown theme theater. Thanks David.

Dual Fathom F112's will be implemented at the rear of the theater for movies.

Maxx 3's are out. Too big, too expensive and I don't want to realize a huge loss when the next generation Maxx's come out, whenever that will be.. Also two Maxx 3's and a 4 foot wide Polaris is just a bit too much for my 15.5ft wide theater. I should have built a bigger theater room.

I heard ARC tubes with Soohia 2s and nothing else. It was very good and I suspect quite a bit better with Sophia 3. Sasha concerns me a bit with tubes but we'll see. There is always the ARC Ref 210...

Congrats, Serge!! I really do like that color. Of course, as always, make sure you take lots of pictures! When is the expected ship date?

Thanks Deb. I was hoping you guys would take lots of pics for me first!
Of course my own pics will follow.

I don't know the date yet. Hopefully it will not take much longer than 6-7 weeks?
