When I bought my Sashas back in January, my dealer told me that they were not going to stock any more Sophia II's because Wilson had an upgrade in the works in the near future. I'm not sure if that was a tactic to get me to buy the Sashas, but if so it was a risky move because they could have lost a sale given my stated budget at the time. With all the fuss about the Sasha and the midrange driver, he said that is the direction Wilson was headed with a new Sophia. Blowing smoke????

Sophia IIs are unbelievable, and almost always go on Audiogon for between 9k to 11k, depending on color and condition. The ones sitting at $10,500 are from a dealer, with a warranty, and are almost in mint condition.

Considering 16K is MSRP on them, that is a high price - especially since the dealer most likely has either 1) repurchased for resale, or 2) had them on demo for years.

I was merely implying that the lower prices were a scream of a deal - risky or not.

I am sorry guys, I knew for a long time, yet I was told not to say anything. When the news broke today I was not at home to put it up. Someone else posted it on here before I could

But yes, Sophia 3 announced today. Ship date set for June 1, 2010
