The Death Star is now fully operational that is, the BAT preamp and amp are both here and (finally) working correctly. I'm thinking Wilson and BAT have a very happy synergy. The BAT amp is fast enough to keep up with the Wilsons and the BAT preamp's warmth and the Wilson's precision are blending very nicely.

Dave Wilson has some Nagra tube gear driving his Sophia 2's in his office and it's the nicest Sophia system I've ever heard....

Sophia 3 should be a nice improvement over the WP5.
A friend who owned the WP5 for some years feels that the Sophia 2 is already better than his WP5 much more for Sophia 3.

Has anyone compared the BAT 52SE to any of the Joule preamps?

I'm finding the Joule/BAT VK-600 SE to be a great combination - more so on the Sasha than the Sophia 2 (as the Sasha is brighter), but I've never heard the BAT preamps.
