I am selling it for $775.

It comes in a retro black case. It was checked out by Frank Van Alstine back in the fall (I live 3 minutes from Frank and have written reviews for his gear). It responds well to tube rolling. It comes with a remote. I can send pic's if you are interested. It has excellent detail, air and transparency with tight deep bass. It is very musical and the sound stage is wide. The only reason I am selling it is that I am buying a new DAC to replace my AVA Ultra DAC and want the cash. It was replaced by my BAT VK51se preamp.

Here is a brief review and picture of the preamp (piece on top) of the Ultra SL preamp (mine is the Ultra Plus which is the SL but it has the HT by pass, upgraded mosfets and the tube sockets were upgraded from 6N1P to the 6CG7's). The mods improved the musicality, bass and dynamics. Mine does not have the phono preamp.

Parasound makes nice gear. I use an A21 Halo amp in a second system. Its very well built. I got to hear a P7 Halo preamp the other day and it sounded very nice. It was paired with an A21 amp, Lampizator Amber DAC and Sonus Faber Venere speakers. It had nice transparent sound.

The P3 preamp was mediocre, the P5 is supposed to be much better.

Here are some good prices on the P5-
