Default Bi-Wiring for MX-Rs

How does one utilize 2 separate runs on each channel with the MX-Rs? Do both runs have to soldered to one connector or can 2 connectors fit? I can't see being able to fit 2 connectors under the screw block.

dminches.......There are a number of speaker cable manufacturers who will assemble the cables with a single pair of spades on the amplifier end and dual sets of spades on the speaker end. This is an example of a Wireworld speaker cable that is set up to bi-wire speakers from a single pair of amplifier terminals.

What exactly is it you think you will gain bi-wiring your speakers?

My Vandersteen Model 7s need to be bi-wired. They can be internal bi-wire. Some have said that 2 separate runs is better.

I am curious if anyone has 2 sets of spades connected to each + / - terminals. Is there room and is the connection tight?

I have exactly this setup with MX-R and both spades fit quite easily.

Do you guys use the Cardas type barrier strip spades on the Vandy 7's? I'm currently using non-biwire bare end 10ga pure silver wire but am consider biwiring with parallel copper runs from the MX-R's. Just want to get the right connectors ... I was thinking non-plated Cardas barrier spades on the speaker side and 1/4" non-plated copper spades on the MX-R end.

I have a shotgun biwire set of Audioquest type 6 from VX-R to 7's both with AQ spades soldered in. richard strongly advocates using an external bi-wire. i suggest you ring him up. he answers the phone.
Btw, speaker wires are the weak link in my system.
The Cardas blocks on the amp are very accomodating.
