King Charles III
Did anyone else catch the movie/show King Charles III on PBS Sunday evening?
It was done in a very Shakespearean manner and could easily have been penned by Old Will himself. The story starts with Prince Charles' accession to the throne following the Queen's death. When he refuses to sign a controversial bill into law, political chaos ensues: a constitutional crisis, rioting on the streets and a tank in front of Buckingham Palace. The movie was based on a 2014 play but updated a bit to include some of the current issues surrounding the Royal Family. I was surprised at some of the verbal digs used for example questioning who was really Harry's father. All in all pretty enjoyable. |

I did enjoy it although some of the plot lines seemed a bit farfetched to me.
Sadly, Tim Pigott-Smith passed away last month. An exceptionally talented actor. |
