I am here to tell 'ya it definitely does. I have had the good fortune to have 2 here for testing and they are still surprising me frequently as to what they are capable of.

Definitely outperforms the Sigma NR (v1)

I also now have a Sigma next-gen here and have started testing. Will post details as I have them but suffice it to say this looks to be one amazing pc for any transport, DAC, clock, preamp or processor. Have not tried on amps yet but that is coming.

I have heard enough to know the Sigma next-gen when one is available to suit the needs of my Typhon QR and Triton V3 from the wall and umbilical will be my next upgrade...

Well, the Sigma V1 has two gauges:
Sigma Analog/Digital 8 gauge
Sigma HC 6 gauge

So which one is it?

I can only provide context from my own experiences, but I'm not sure it would be accurate use "gauge" as the only specification to compare power cords. For example, the older Shunyata Black Mamba CX, as good as it was in its time, is a (notably) larger gauge PC than the Venom NR-V10, but the NR-V10 outperforms it in virtually every way, including DTCD, overall sound quality and of course, noise reduction.

My hypothesis is that Shunyata is constantly evolving and improving design, cable geometries, materials, and manufacturing techniques to continue to obtain higher levels of performance. As another example, the fairly new Venom HC V2 is a pretty amazing 10 AWG power cord with respect to performance and DTCD capability. That cord provides outstanding performance, and at $295, is an incredible value proposition.

For reference, Venom NR-V10 and Shunyata Black Mamba CX are both 10 gauge cables but very different designs.

Is this a new Alpha speaker cable OR power cable?
So now should we hold up and wait for it OR get the current Alpha speaker cable?
