Default turning MC PHONO input back on

When I got my phono stage I turned off the MC PHONO input (to save tubes) and renamed the high level D/A input to MC PHONO. I will be going back to the internal phono stage but I cannot find in the manual how to switch an input back on - I want to switch the MC PHONO back on once I rename the high level back to D/A.

Chuck H. told me Press and Hold TONE BYPASS and OUTPUT 2 until unit resets. This sets all back to factory default.

Probably hard to describe how to do it here but if you google C2300 manual, I am sure you will find a hit and can view what you need.

I didn’t know it was even possible to turn off the phono input and thereby turn off the tubes! Smart move.

Not covered in the manual - only how to rename inputs. I turned off my MC PHONO, and renamed the D/A to MC PHONO for my external stage (if an input is turned off you can then rename any other input that name). Sold it so I need to get back to the Mc onboard stage.

Miner-

The factory reset should bring it all back. Is there a reset procedure in the original owners manual?

Jason.......If I am not mistaken, the only McIntosh preamp where the phono stage tubes can be turned off is the C2200. That's because the C2200 only has a Moving Magnet phono input whose RCA input jacks are shared with the Auxiliary inputs. Through the Setup menu you select those RCA input jacks to be either high level Auxiliary inputs or Moving Magnet level input jacks. When the RCA jacks are set up to be high level Auxiliary inputs the phono stage tubes are turned off.

Turning off the moving coil input on the C2300 does not turn off the phono stage tubes, it merely turns off the input.
