Traded up from my MC452 to MC462, it all came together, love what I am hearing and will be listening for changes over time.

Congratulations! It's a magnificent amp and very beautiful. Did you employ the trade up program on the Mac website? My C-1000 preamp and MR85 tuner recently sold along with all my copper cables, IC's, MIT power conditioners, etc. I will be hearing from my dealer soon about employing the Mac trade up program for (2) 1.25 Kw's. I will use the money on the sale to make up the difference between the 1.2's and the 1.25's which should be $8,500. Let us know how the new amp sounds.

Best of luck moving from 1.2 to 1.25kw for $8500 .... if it works, your dealer must be a magician pulling strings! Fingers crossed for you.

Did not use the Trade up Program for MC462. I purchased a MC452 in early June before knowing about the new model, but had problems under warranty with the MC452. My dealer was great they said pack and bring in the MC452 and for a little extra and tax we can get you the MC462. So it all came together big thanks to my dealer and Mcintosh!

Outstanding. Glad to hear positive stories of McIntosh standing behind their products and keeping the customer happy. Enjoy that 462, she’s a beauty!
