The Bel Canto FM1 only does FM tuning but I have to say it sounded incredible as a source. It also can convert FM to digital and send the signal via AES/BNC or optical! I found it easy to integrate with a DAC (digital preamp) system.

If you want to stick to analog, it also provides RCA and XLR analog outputs.

Pretty neat device.

Very nice!

Michael... I would recommend a network audio player. You get over 20,000 channels at your fingertips. Every genre of music is available plus a plethora of other channels to choose from such as Talk Radio, News, Sports, even a Scanner if that's what you like. There are channels dedicated to Holiday music. They are AirPlay compatible so you can use your I-Pod, I-Pad, and/or I-Phone.

For me, this has been the best investment in my audio system, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

hmmm...well, I decided a while back to add a conventional tuner (we have a LOT of good FM here) and I am also streaming as the whim strikes.

I added this:

Michael.......The McIntosh MR85 is a fine tuner. Both AM and FM sound excellent. I enjoy my MR85, MR88, MR74 and my Tandberg 3011 tuners regularly. You made an excellent choice.

Thank you, Dan. Much has been added since sporting blue meters, green glowing LED logos and other fine details.
