Default The hobby comradery.

Amazing how hobbies in general tend to bond people. Audio hobby is no different. It is through AA that I have personally met some great people years ago who are into audio and other common interests and remain friends to this day.

Wanted to say thanks to Stephen (PumaCat) whom I have yet to meet in person because we are on opposite coasts, who without hesitation made up a package in which he sent me a Schiit Audio Loki DSD DAC to play around with, some USB and single ended cables as well as a thumb drive with some high resolution music to listen to. Included was a wonderful CD of Murray Perahia BACH keyboard concertos which he thought I may enjoy as a gift! Brought a smile to my face as I opened a package and besides being amazed how good the little DAC sounded as I listened into the late hours of the night, I was thinking of how distance has no relevance and how many great people we get to meet through the wonderful hobby of ours.

The feeling is mutual, Serge! Many thanks!

I have a similar experience, everyone I have become friends with on this forum have been great people. Some have been local while others are on other continents. This hobby is a great vehicle for meeting other like minded people.

Wonderful thread Serge.
Wow Stephen!

I have the same experience as David.
All AA'ers I have met so far were truly nice souls.
And all a bit/lot crazy.
