3 of my last 4 vehicles have been FCA products and I have sworn them off. Cool concept, I just have had way too many quality issues with the product lines.
I will admire from afar.

I’m with you. Cool concept, but I have a Jeep Liberty that has given me more trouble than the last 4 other vehicles I’ve owned combined. No more Jeeps for me.

Tony / Tim, I'm with you. all those removable pieces look cool and sometime after the warranty expires they will all start to leak !
in it's class I'll take either the Chevy Colorado or Toyota Tacoma. |

I’m on my 4th Jeep, (Grand Cherokee) no problems whatsoever but I’ve never kept them past warranty. The Gladiator is an interesting choice for the adventure types and if one lives in an area where it can be used to it’s potential.

We're looking at a vehicle to tow an RV and my wife likes 'the idea of a Jeep'. However, number 1 in our vehicle search is reliability. We will be sticking with either GM or Ford (Tahoe or Expedition).

Overall the Tahoe or Expedition would be a solid choice. Last edited by PHC1; 12-17-2018 at 11:11 AM. |

+1 on the cruiser. Buy used. Solid as a rock for at least 200000 miles with regular maintenance. I towed a two horse trailer with mine (with horses and gear) for years and it never even blinked.

I love my Tacoma...but I wish it had removable doors and roof!

The Expedition with turbo-V6 looks to be the best bet, from the various reviews I've been reading. Like that it has the best ride, with comfort being just behind reliability on my list of requirements. Since the fall of 2007 (traded in an '02 Explorer) have put ~340Kmi on three GM vehicles. During that time I spent $70 on a repair, which I wanted rather than needed. Will be tough to pass up a Tahoe for a Ford. Probably go with the best 'deal' when we pull the trigger.
