Default Help Me Pick a "beater" Watch

Thanks to PHC1 for posting the link to the Ferrari store. Am looking for a "beater" watch and think the ones posted here: http://store.ferrari.com/us_en/watch...ch-239555.html or http://store.ferrari.com/us_en/watch...ch-239563.html would be just about perfect. Have to decide between the gold or red highlights on the bezel & face. I'm thinking red with the black band. Will be the closest I'll ever come to owning a Ferrari.

The "Formula Italia" looks great for a beater watch.

Nice. May get to own a Ferrari after-all.

FYI, if you have a Movado Outlet Store near by, they have the Ferrari watches for about 75% off.

Looking at the Movado store watches, they appear to be Japanese movements. Think I want to stay with a Swiss (likely ATE) movement with the date.

As it is a Ferrari, I went red. Delivery mid-next week to my Naples, FL address. That's pretty good, coming from Italy. But, Ferrari's are fast.

Hi Dave - Thanks. Will it qualify me for 'coffee & cars'?

I wish, but will be back up here by then. Karen is committed for at least two more semesters (this spring & next fall). Hoping she will drop back to only the fall semester, or less, after that.

My "beater" watch is a Tag Heuer Aquaracer quartz. Relatively inexpensive but because of its quartz movement it's incredibly accurate.
